Tradie Web Shed ("we", "us") respects your privacy. This policy explains what personal information we collect through tradiewebshed.com.au and our services, how we use and share it, and the choices you have. We handle personal information in line with the Australian Privacy Principles in the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth).
Information we collect
Information you give us. When you book a build or contact us, we collect the details you provide: typically your name, mobile, email, trade, the area you work in, your business name and notes about your current website. To build your site we also collect the business details you send us, such as your logo, photos, licence or registration number, ABN and service areas.
Information collected automatically. When you visit the site, our analytics and advertising tools collect technical information such as pages viewed, the page you came from, approximate location (city level), device and browser type, and how you interacted with forms and buttons.
We don't collect payment card details through this site.
How we use your information
- To contact you about your enquiry and build your website.
- To set up services that come with your build, such as your domain, Google Business Profile and Google Search Console.
- To provide the care plan: hosting, renewals, changes and support.
- To understand how the site is used, measure our advertising and improve our services.
- To meet our legal obligations.
Who we share it with
- Service providers who help us run the business, including our form provider (Formspree), email provider, website host, domain registrar and Google (analytics, advertising and Business Profile). They may only use the information to provide services to us.
- Authorities where required or permitted by law.
We don't sell your personal information. Business details you ask us to publish on your own website (such as your phone number and licence number) will be public on that site.
Overseas storage
Some of our service providers, including Formspree and Google, store data on servers outside Australia, mainly in the United States. We take reasonable steps to make sure these providers handle personal information consistently with the Australian Privacy Principles.
Cookies, analytics and advertising
This site uses cookies and similar technologies: Google Analytics and Google Tag Manager to understand how visitors use the site, and Google Ads conversion tracking to measure whether our ads lead to enquiries. We may also use Google Ads remarketing to show our ads to people who have previously visited the site. We store the ad click details from your first visit in your browser for up to 90 days so an enquiry can be credited to the right ad.
You can control cookies in your browser settings, opt out of Google Analytics with the Google Analytics opt-out add-on, and manage personalised ads through Google Ads Settings.
Google Ads API
We use the Google Ads API to manage and report on our own Google Ads advertising, and on accounts our clients ask us to manage. We use that data only to run and report on that advertising, we don't share it with third parties, and we don't use it to identify individual people.
Security and retention
We take reasonable steps to protect personal information from misuse, loss and unauthorised access. We keep it only as long as we need it for the purposes above or as required by law, and then delete or de-identify it.
Access, correction and deletion
You can ask what personal information we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it by emailing hello@tradiewebshed.com.au with "Privacy" in the subject. We'll respond within 30 days.
Complaints
If you have a concern about how we've handled your information, please contact us first so we can try to resolve it. If you're not satisfied with our response, you can contact the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner at oaic.gov.au.
